About
My friend Sara Heesen told me that she thinks most people are depressed when she tells them that when you die, everybody forgets you. She, on the other hand, feels exhilarated, liberated even, by the prospect of being forgotten. There is no judgment or evaluation in being forgotten. You're just gone. That means that you get to live now. You get to enjoy your moments in the light. You get to feel the glory and the sadness of being human.
I agree with her. No wonder she is one of my favorite people on the planet.
